Where's Walter's Star?
A Serious Issue that needs to be addressed ...
"Melllvar, you can't let a TV show be your whole life. You can do anything you want. Look at Walter Koenig. After Star Trek, he became an actor!"
"Not just an actor but a well rounded person! With my own friends, credit cards, keys..." How is it that Walter Koenig is the only ST:TOS main cast member that won't have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? (James Doohan is getting his soon.) Does this seem right to you? Darn straight it doesn't. We need to mobilize today!
Of course, I'm a little busy right now. If you want to get started, necessary information can be found at the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
Last time I checked, sponsors needed to raise $15,000 and, of course, get the actor to agree to it, etc. As Trogdor points out, however, that's only a thousand people donating $15.00 each. Or three thousand people donating $5.00 each.
If we work this right, we could probably get 3000 people to skip lunch for one day and instead send us the cost of that lunch to pay for a Star for Walter. There might be some sort "Fasting for Koenig" publicity angle we could work.
Hmm... This obviously still needs some thought.
Regardless, Walter "The King" Koenig needs The BIYF Collective's help! Weigh in with your ideas and strategies today.
